Report of commuter usage of CBS20

Weekday
AM Peak: High volumes of HCJC NJC NYGH TCH students from Tampines to their schools. High Volumes of MJC students from PSR to MJC. Fortunately, 5 min frequency is enough to sustain the loads of working people from Tampines and Pasir Ris to Buona Vista/NUS and vice versa.

AM Off-Peak: Average volumes of commuters from Toa Payoh to Tampines and from Pasir Ris to Tampines. MJC Students use this service frequently to reach Tampines Central in under 12min. Volumes of dismissed students also use this service to go home in the afternoons.

PM Peak: Working personnel use this service to get from Holland V and Bt Timah to Tampines and vice versa.

PM Off-Peak: Low demand of commuter usage. Not more findings recorded.

Inaugaration and Introduction of CBS20

From Sunday, 15th February 2004, CBS is proud to introduce its first service in Singapore - CBS20.

Plying between Pasir Ris and Kent Ridge, CBS20 aims to provide the Bt Timah schools a link to the East and also a direct link from Central Singapore to NUS/NUH. In addition, it provides inter-town coverage between Pasir Ris, Tampines and Bedok Towns and also provides a faster link between Eastern and Central Singapore.

This route is part of the Pasir Ris Bus Plan that CBS has come up with. The other Pasir Ris services will be introduced progressively from March onwards.

A Ceremony will be held at Pasir Ris Interchange and CBS20 will commerce operations after the flag-off by the CEO @1000 hrs on 15th February 2004. Rides taken on that day are free.

Acquiring Land for Bus Parks and Depot

CBS has officially acquired 8 pieces of land for its development of its depot. Construction are now well underway and some of them will be finished in time for the new buses to come in early February 2004. All depots will include a Route Group Office, an automated bus washing bay and a multi storey depot. Certain depots will also have a bus assembly workshop too.

Of the 8 Depot, Bedok North Depot, located just next to SBS Transit's Bedok North Depot will be ready for operations by early February. CBS will temporarily house its Headquarters here until a new Depot in Bishan is ready for use.

Ayer Rajah Bus Park, located in Ayer Rajah Ind Est, will also be ready in early February so that the arrival of the Mk4 Striders can have its permenent home there. As for Bedok North Depot, buses like the Volvo Mk4 DM3500, Mercedes Benz O405G Volgren and the Volvo Olympians will grace the parking space there once they arrive in early February

The other Depots are:
Sengkang Depot - Sengkang East Dr/TPE intersection. This depot will house a bus assembly workshop.
Bishan Depot - Bishan St 14. This depot will house the HQ Operations of CBS.
Ang Mo Kio Bus Park - Ang Mo Kio Ave 5
Yishun Depot - Yishun Ave 9
Choa Chu Kang Bus Park - Choa Chu Kang Way
Jurong East Depot - Toh Guan Rd East. This depot will house a bus assembly workshop.
Pioneer Bus Park - Pioneer Rd North/Soon Lee Rd junction.

CBS is a fantasy bus company based in Singapore. It was founded by CEO COpStrike on 1st February 2004. Its aim is to provide a better level of public transport services in Singapore. Its maidian service, CBS20, was officially launched on 15th February 2004 with 34 buses in operation. Gradually, CBS expanded its operations coverage to the east, north-east, central etc. Currently, CBS is operating about 1500 citybuses and its expected to increase in proportion to its area of coverage.
CBS' Mission is to provide commuters a seamless and efficent way of travelling around Singapore.
CBS' Vision is to steer the public transport scene in Singapore into greater heights for future generations.
CBS currently has over 15 bus models and the number is expected to increase as CBS buys buses from overseas. Here are the models we have.
