CBS ties up with 3 Junior Colleges to provide special charter for the Release of the O Level results on Mon 28th Feb 2005

CBS has clinched a deal with 3 Junior Colleges to provide free shuttle services between their Colleges and key destinations after the school's dismissal time. This is to provide a quick link to their secondary schools and also to places where students can have their lunch before the results.

Tampines Junior College

Key Destinations:
1. Bedok Interchange
2. Parkway Parade
3. Sengkang Interchange

Shuttle services to these 3 places will depart at the following times.

1. Bedok Int - 1050 1105 1115 1125 1135 1150 1205
2. Parkway Parade - 1055 1110 1120 1130 1145 1200

CBS ties up with Meridian Junior College to provide special charter for the Release of the O Level results on Mon 28th Feb 2005

CBS once again will provide free shuttle services between Meridian Junior College to certain places after dismissal @1030hrs. This is to provide a quick link to their secondary schools and also to places where students can have their lunch before the results.

They are:

CBS ties up with TransCorp to provide special charter for HCI Cross Country on Fri 25th Feb 2005

CBS will provide free shuttle services between

1. Hwa Chong Institution (HCI) and Turf City, and
2. HCI & Coronation Plaza, 6th Ave Ctr & King Albert Park (Lunch Shuttle)

to cater to the HCI students that are going for the cross country to be held at Turf City and also for students to have their lunch break at various eateries along Bt Timah. The main aim of providing the shuttle is to minimise disruption to other bus services running along this corridor. The shuttle will provide a direct connection to turf city, saving staff and students from the walk in the hot sun.

A total of 12 units of the Wright Volvo Super Olympian will be deployed on the Turf City route, in addition to supplementary buses from TransCorp while 10 units of Volvo Mk4 DM3500 will be deployed on the lunch shuttle.

Buses for the lunch shuttle will depart from HCI between 1200 - 1330 hrs on a periodic basis. Thereafter, all buses serving along this route will complement the Turf City route.

Buses for the Turf City shuttle will depart from HCI between 1245 - 1430 hrs or until all students and staff have left HCI for Turf City, whichever is later. They will depart HCI on an ad-hoc basis.

After the meet ends, the following shuttle services will be provided.

1. Turf City - HCI - Toa Payoh Int - Ang Mo Kio Int (1750 1800 1815 1830)
2. Turf City - HCI - Orchard MRT - Dhoby Ghaut MRT - City Hall MRT (1745 1805 1825 1840)
3. Turf City - 6th Ave Ctr - Bt Batok Int (1755 1805 1815 1825 1835)
4. Turf City - 6th Ave Ctr - Choa Chu Kang Int (1755 1805 1820 1835)

Staff & Students are advised to look out for the destination sign at the front of the bus.

Operation of CBS30

CBS30 will not operate on 9th & 10th February 2005 (Wednesday & Thursday) during the first 2 days of the Lunar New Year. Operations will resume the following day.

Amendment of CBS30

With effect from Sunday 13th February 2005, CBS30 will be amended to ply Tampines Neighbourhood 3 & 4 instead of Tampines Ave 5. This is to give Tampines residents more choices of taking the train from Simei Stn and also providing a direct link between Tampines N3/N4 and town.

Affected passengers can take the following alternatives:
1. Tampines Ave 5 - Simei/City: Take CBS31 and transfer to CBS30 at Tampines Ave 2 (Tampines East CC) by crossing the overhead bridge.

Amendment of CBS20

With effect from Sunday 13th February 2005, CBS20 will be amended to ply Farrer Rd & Holland Rd instead of Bt Timah/Dunearn Rd & Sixth Ave. This is to give Toa Payoh and NUS a more direct link as well as to cut journey time for passengers travelling to NUS by CBS20.

Affected passengers can take the following alternatives:
1. Pasir Ris/Tampines/Bedok/Toa Payoh - Bt Timah/Dunearn Rd: Take CBS20 and transfer to CBS74 or CBS86 at Whitley Rd(Catholic JC) or transfer to CBS84 at Adam Rd (Japanese Sch).

2. Pasir Ris/Tampines/Bedok/Toa Payoh - Sixth Ave: Take CBS20 and transfer to CBS74 at Whitley Rd(Catholic JC).

3. Pasir Ris/Tampines/Bedok/Toa Payoh - Holland Rd (Between Holland Ave & Sixth Ave): Take CBS20 and transfer to CBS14 or CBS65 at Holland Rd (Holland Hill Mansions)

4. C'wealth Ave/Holland Village - Sixth Ave: Take ZYX5 from Holland Ave.

5. C'wealth Ave/Holland Village - Bt Timah/Dunearn Rd (Between Adam Rd & Sixth Ave): Take CBS20 to Farrer Rd & transfer to ZYX174 or ZYX181.

CBS to operate Special Services during Chinese New Year Festivities

CBS will operate 16 special services and extend the last bus timing for 6 services from the city between 4 Feb 2005 and Chinese New Year's Eve (8 Feb 2005).
