CBS Temporary Bus Diversion Plan for National Day Rally

National Day Rally 2006 (Sunday 20th August 2006)

In conjunction with the above event at the University Cultural Centre on Sunday 20th August 2006, CBS86 would have to be rerouted due to the temporary closure of Kent Ridge Cres between Clementi Rd & Lower Kent Ridge Rd (Outside University Cultural Centre) bewteen 1600 hrs and 2300 hrs.

As such, CBS86 would enter and exit the NUS campus roads via Kent Ridge Cres (near Kent Ridge Terminal) in both directions before making a roundabout at Lower Kent Ridge Rd and back to Clementi Rd. In addition, the service will skip a pair of bus stops along the affected road.

CBS provides Special Services for National Day 2006

CBS will operate 15 special services/shortworking trips and also provide charter for National Day Preview 2006 on Sat 29th July 2006 as well as the actual day on Wed 9th August 2006. These services are to cater to the 60 000 people and participants attending the parade held at the National Stadium.

The special services are as follows:

EW1: Pasir Ris - Aljunied MRT
EW2: Tampines - Aljunied MRT
EW5: Bedok - Kallang MRT
EW23: Clementi - Marina Bay MRT
EW24: Jurong East - Marina Bay MRT
EW27: Boon Lay - Marina Bay MRT
NS2: Bt Batok - City Hall MRT
NS4: Choa Chu Kang - City Hall MRT
NS9: Woodlands - Marina Bay MRT
NS13: Yishun - Marina Bay MRT
CBS72NDP: Sengkang - Aljunied MRT
CBS63NDP: Punggol/Hougang - Aljunied MRT
CBS92NDP: Serangoon - Aljunied MRT
CBS113NDP: Ang Mo Kio/Bishan - Kallang MRT
CBS33NDP: Toa Payoh - Kallang MRT

On top of that, special charter will be provided from Kallang, Aljunied, Marina Bay and City Hall stations to the National Stadium itself.

All special services and charter will run from 1230 hrs - 1645 hrs (last bus of special services is 1530 hrs) and from 2005 hrs - 2210 hrs.

CBS will operate 16 special services and extend the last bus timing for 7 services from the city between 26 Jan 2006 and Chinese New Year's Eve (28 Jan 2006).

About Fast Forward Services
FFw services act as semi express services along its parent route during peak hours for the working class people. With FFw services, passengers will be able to save up to 20% of the total journey time travelled. These services will operate on an average frequency of 11-12min and they will not operate on Weekends and Public Holidays
